The AG's Tools | AG_Traceback v1.0
>> Create an anchor and a target in order to quickly traceback a group of nodes <<
(Works the same way as the bookmarks)
I usually work with shuffles instead of 'stamps' or hidden inputs. The problem when you work this way is that sometime you don't know where the shuffle is coming from (for example if you have a group of nodes that create a certain effect and you shuffle the result in your main pipe before extracting it).
I created this tool to have a quick traceback with a simple hotkey. It works the same way as the bookmarks but you just have to select the target and the hotkey will bring you back to the anchor. It works also with the regular bookmarks in case you share your script with people that don't have this tool.
STEP 1 :
You create an anchor at a certain point in your script (after a group of nodes that creates a certain effect) using one hotkey (by default it's 'alt+1' but you can change it the way you like).
STEP 2
After the anchor is created, you can select it and press again the same hotkey (alt+1) to create the target.
After that step, unplug the target (or cut it with 'ctrl+x') and place it where you want in your script (where you extract the shuffle for example)
STEP 3
Finally, if you select the target and press again the same hotkey (alt+1) it will bring you back to the anchor.
STEP 3 (alternative)
If you press 'J' (which is the default hotkey for the bookmarks) you can select the name of you anchor in a list and be brought back to it
